A note from Father Carvajal… All thanks and praise to God for the opportunity to serve the community of St Cecilia’s! I am honored that Bishop Konderla has appointed me as your next pastor, and I am very excited to get to be with you all soon. A warm thank you to Father Sylvanus for his ten years of dedicated service at St. Cecilia’s. Here is a little about me: I was born in Venezuela, and at the age of 5 my family moved to the United States. I grew up in Tulsa with my parents and two siblings. My mother, brother, and sister all still live in Tulsa, which is a huge blessing for me. I went to Jenks for grade school and Bishop Kelley for high school. I graduated from BK in 2011 (We have three Priests from my class-wild!). I then went to the University of Dallas/Holy Trinity Seminary for my undergraduate in Philosophy and Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati, OH for my studies in Theology. In my free time I enjoy road biking, hiking/camping, and playing guitar. I am an avid watcher of old movies, enjoy cooking and will occasionally play soccer with some friends. Please know I have begun praying for you, and I ask for your prayers as well.
